Together with various technology partners, SHA offers customized
Total solutions for waste management and recycling. According to the World Bank, the global volume of waste will rise sharply by 2050: from around 2.01 billion tons of waste per year today to around 3.4 billion tons - an increase of around 70 %. This massive increase is due, among other things, to population growth and increasing urbanization. Without effective waste management, there is a risk of enormous environmental, health and climate risks. SHA considers investment in functioning waste management systems and recycling infrastructure to be urgently needed and advocates combined reuse and recycling programs with circular economy principles. In other words, not just waste disposal, but the targeted recovery of materials and conservation of resources.

Turning waste problems into valuable materials.

A key technology is continuous thermal utilization, which converts almost any type of waste - biomass, plastics, rubber, waste water or industrial sludge - into saleable products and energy.

The materials are heated in the pyrolysis reactor in the absence of air and converted into pyrolysis gas and biochar. Possible outputs: synthetic biofuels, biochar, solid fuels, purified oil/biogas and high-quality carbon products (e.g. soil conditioner, CO₂ storage through biochar...). The plants are modular and can be realized as stationary systems, installations in existing waste infrastructures or mobile container-based units - even on ships. They are individually planned according to input quantities, manufactured in high-performance plants and delivered including training & service.
